Job Overview:
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to order, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and ensuring that dishes meet the restaurant's high standards for taste, presentation, and quality. You’ll work closely with other kitchen staff and the chef to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Responsibilities:
● Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to the chef’s recipes and presentation standards.
● Ensure consistency and quality of all dishes during service while ensuring appropriate ticket times.
● Set up and stock the kitchen stations with necessary ingredients and supplies.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
● Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
● Work collaboratively with other cooks, prep staff, and the kitchen team to maintain efficiency during busy shifts.
● Communicate effectively with the Chef and fellow.
● Take direction and follow instructions from the Chef and Sous Chef as needed.
● Any other responsibilities that may arise.
Qualifications:
● Minimum 1-2 years of experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
● Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen equipment.
● Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of food quality.
● Excellent time management skills.
● Ability to work well in a team environment.
● A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
