Position Summary

As a Sous Chef, you’ll play a vital role in our kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef in leading the culinary team and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, preparation, and presentation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong culinary background and a creative flair to contribute to our dynamic menu and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain our high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate on menu planning, including creating innovative dishes that align with our Asian-inspired cuisine.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Step in to lead the kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, preferably in Asian cuisine or a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Expertise in food preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and plating presentation.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Creativity and passion for developing innovative dishes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
