Position Summary:
The Remy is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our leadership team. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain impeccable consistency, and ensure every dish meets our fine dining standards. We’re looking for a strong leader with refined culinary skills, excellent communication, and a passion for developing a high-performing team.
Speaking Spanish is a strong plus and supports smooth communication across the kitchen
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Executive Chef in leading all kitchen operations
- Ensure consistency in flavor, timing, execution, and presentation
- Train, mentor, and guide line cooks and prep staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, high-efficiency workspace
- Oversee ordering, inventory, and stock rotation
- Enforce strict food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu development, specials, and seasonal updates
- Step into the Executive Chef role as needed to maintain seamless service
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional kitchen experience, including 1–2 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in fine dining; steakhouse experience is a plus
- Excellent understanding of cooking techniques, meat temperatures, and premium ingredients (especially Australian beef)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to perform under pressure with exceptional attention to detail
- A commitment to consistency, excellence, and team development
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Open availability, including mornings,evenings, weekends, and holidays
