Job Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Line/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line/Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, work well under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting.  


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Greet customers as they enter, thank and invite them to return as they exit the store, and provide assistance as needed. 
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, and portioning meats, cheeses, and other items. 
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service. 
  • Cook and plate dishes according to recipe specifications and presentation standards. 
  • Monitor food quality and freshness and ensure that dishes are prepared in a timely manner. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including tools, equipment, and storage areas. 
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and maintaining clean surfaces.  
  • Label and store all food items properly, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. 
  • Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries, and conduct inventory checks as needed. 
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. 
  • Assist with closing duties, including cleaning stations, storing food, and disposing of waste properly. 
  • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed during shift. 
  • Ensure that guests receive high-quality 5-star service and that their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations. 
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager. 


Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar kitchen role is preferred. 
  • Basic understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy service periods. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency. 
  • Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical requirements of the role 
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy items for extended periods. 
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or education is a plus.
