Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Line/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line/Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, work well under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter, thank and invite them to return as they exit the store, and provide assistance as needed.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, and portioning meats, cheeses, and other items.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service.
- Cook and plate dishes according to recipe specifications and presentation standards.
- Monitor food quality and freshness and ensure that dishes are prepared in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including tools, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and maintaining clean surfaces.
- Label and store all food items properly, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries, and conduct inventory checks as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Assist with closing duties, including cleaning stations, storing food, and disposing of waste properly.
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed during shift.

Ensure that guests receive high-quality 5-star service and that their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
- Basic understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy service periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical requirements of the role
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or education is a plus.
