To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our guest satisfaction and restaurant growth.


Line Cook Job Responsibilities:


  • Set up and stock food items and other necessary supplies
  • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauce
  • Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
  • Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
  • Ability to navigate a KDS system
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to complete all opening and closing duties


Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:


  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
  • Ability to work with all team member
  • Follows directions and instructions


Responsibilities
• Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked. • Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces. • Report to the executive chef and follow instructions. • Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards. • Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers. • Stock inventory and supplies. • Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.


Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification. • Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field. • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role. • In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Aptitude for multi-tasking. • Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
