Shape the Future of Pastry at The Hollywood Roosevelt

Since 1927, The Hollywood Roosevelt has been more than a hotel. From hosting the first Academy Awards to being home to Hollywood legends, our story is part of Los Angeles itself. Today, we continue to honor that legacy while defining the next chapter of modern hospitality.

We are seeking an Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to shape the pastry program at one of the most iconic hotels in Los Angeles. Your creativity, technical skill, and leadership will define the pastry experience across multiple outlets, bringing classic elegance and fresh innovation to every plate.

What You Will Do

You’ll lead the pastry operation from concept to execution. That includes menu development, recipe testing, and ensuring every dessert reflects the quality and character of The Hollywood Roosevelt. You’ll oversee production, manage a talented team, and maintain the highest standards of presentation, flavor, and consistency.
You’ll partner closely with the Culinary Director and Executive Sous Chef to manage operations, control costs, train staff, and keep the pastry kitchen running smoothly day to day.

Who We Are Looking For

You are an experienced pastry professional with at least five years of leadership experience in a high-volume food and beverage operation, ideally within a luxury hotel environment. You have a deep understanding of pastry production and an eye for detail, balanced with strong communication and team development skills. You lead by example, inspire those around you, and know how to maintain excellence under pressure. Proficiency in English is required, and conversational Spanish is a plus.

Why The Hollywood Roosevelt

Here, you won’t just be baking desserts. You’ll be leading a program at a hotel where history and innovation come together. Our guests expect more than great food—they expect memorable experiences. This is your chance to put your creative mark on a storied property and grow with a team that values both craft and hospitality.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in a pastry leadership role
  • Strong background in menu development, cost control, and team management
  • Manager ServSafe Certificate and California Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs (email, Word, Excel)

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Complimentary dry cleaning
  • Free on-site parking

If you’re ready to lead pastry at a hotel that blends old Hollywood charm with modern creativity, we’d love to hear from you.
