Back of House - Line and Prep Cook

• Prepares and marinates all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits 
• Works one or more cooking stations that may include falafel, kabob, rotisserie, and sandwich/plate preparation areas 
• Properly measures and assembles ingredients required for preparing the standard recipes.  
• Cuts and/or portions food products to company standards 
• Uses scale to ensure proper portioning of food items 
• Minimizes waste of products 
• Stocks/restocks items on line 
• Maintains clean dishes and other wares  
• Rinses and cuts raw food products. 
• Receives and stores food supplies and equipment 
• Communicates with Team Members and Management throughout the shift regarding the status of orders and availability of the product 
• Understands and complies with food safety and temperature standards 
• Maintains cook line area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner 
• Cleans, organizes and maintains walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep, and dry storage area 
• Rotates product according to “First In, First Out” to maintain shelf-life standards. 

Skills & Abilities  

• Strong interpersonal skills 
• Ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor during any volume of business 
• Ability to work well under pressure 
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment, and other food preparation equipment/tools 

Qualifications 

• Food Handler Certificate 

Physical Requirements  

• Some exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, and humidity 
• Reaches, bends, squats, and frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs  
• Ability to stand and walk through the duration of the shift
