Sous Chef
Labor Finders of Austell is looking for an experienced sous chef. In this role, you will manage and coordinate day-to-day kitchen operations, ensure smooth workflow, and uphold culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities of a Sous Chef:
  • Supervision and Training: Overseeing and supervising kitchen staff, including training new employees and evaluating performance. 
  • Food Preparation and Quality: Preparing dishes, ensuring quality and consistency, and maintaining high standards of presentation. 
  • Menu Planning and Development: Assisting with menu planning, recipe creation, and developing new dishes. 
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and monitoring equipment. 
  • Kitchen Operations and Sanitation: Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to sanitation regulations and safety standards. 
  • Leadership and Delegation: Taking charge in the absence of the executive chef, delegating tasks, and resolving issues. 
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicating with staff, suppliers, and customers, and collaborating with other culinary team members. 

Requirements & Skills:
  • • Exceptional cooking skills
    • Ability to effectively manage the kitchen staff, motivate them and assign duties fairly
    • Familiarity with the best practices in the hotel and catering services industry
    • Knowledge of health and safety standards
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Point of Sale and restaurant management software
    • Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure
    • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills
