Purpose
To serve guest by providing them with a superior food product and quick, friendly and superior service.
Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
·Food preparation and portioning prior to service
·Follow the prep list created by management
·Label and stock all ingredients on shelves using FIFO, to ensure organization and accessibility
·Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and guests
·Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
·Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, etc.
·Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
·Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
·Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
·Properly hold and store all foods
·Take out trash
·Must follow the guidelines stated in the grooming standards policy
·Communicate openly, timely, and honestly with subordinates, superiors and all others about plans, progress, and problems
·Always be approachable, coachable and have a good positive attitude
Non-Essential Job Functions
·Must be at least 18 years of age
·Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
·Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:
oWalking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
·Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for:
oMaking observations
oCommunicating with others
oReading and writing
