Job Summary The Line Cook and Food Prep are responsible maintaining all aspects of the line area and food items in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities Maintain all aspects of the line area and food items Provide a positive, consistent leadership role model to hourly staff Use check lists to ensure proper set-up and close down of each shift Follow all company specifications and procedure to ensure perfect food Follow and use all food safety procedures and logs Follow all food rotation and re-stocking procedure using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred Must be authorized to work in the USA and proper documentation Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training preferred Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required Experience with quantity food preparation preferred Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes Ability to handle multiple priorities Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 50 lbs., and bend, climb, reach overhead, and work in confined spaces Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication You must have organizational and time management skills and demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills Benefits/Perks Competitive Wages for all positions Ray’s offers Medical, Dental, Vision insurance after 60 days of service for full time employees We have 401K Employee Contributions (as soon as hired) and 401K Employer Match to 4% (Match offered to full time employees after 1,000 hours in 12 months, 21+ years old requirement) Paid Time Off for full time employees (30+ hours average per week) Performance based career growth - Ray’s believes in promoting from within the company Employee Food Discounts – We want you to have the fine dining exceptional experience!
