An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions and provide consistent results in the kitchen and able to work independently. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking with a good attitude and good communication skills. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important. Flexibility in scheduling is a must. Responsibilities Set up all workstations with all needed ingredients prior to service Comfortable working all stations on the line Line Prep (use knife skills, hold food at correct temps, etc) Cook food using various cooking equipment on the line Quality check ingredients and completed dishes before leaving the pass Ensure great presentation and attention to detail Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Knowledge regarding food safety procedures Monitor inventory and communicate to F&B manager Skills Proven experience as cook Experience in using cutting tools and cookware Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.) Ability to follow all sanitation procedures Ability to work in a team Very good communication skills Excellent physical condition and stamina'
